Jolijn's beautiful DIY creations

Jolijn has made these two amazing DIY Classic creations for herself and her sister, both have unique personalities using different fabrics, patterns and textures.

The black velvet bag is very stylish and classy, with the richly patterned and coloured red lining it really stands out.

I love the vibrant green colour of the cotton Classic.  The patterned lining suits it so well and is sure to brighten up even the dullest winter day.

Jolijn writes that her next project is two DIY Onbag Babies!  I can't wait to see what colours and fabrics she uses.

Don't the special red DIY Onbag labels look smart too?

Green Linen with Bright Floral Lining

What a bag!

This will certainly make a statement, and is a perfect example of how wonderful a custom bag can be when it is exactly, precisely what someone wants - I don't think one of the standard bags would really have hit the spot here!

The lovely Lucy who handles the custom bags says:

"I must confess to thinking that Hannah was slightly barmy when she sent me this fabric combination for her Onbag, but it works amazingly well together, and I think the finished bag is now my favourite one that I have made so far!"

Hannah chose a lime-green linen with a bright floral lining for her custom Onbag Classic.

Why not join the waiting list for your own perfect bag?

Alison's DIY Onbag Classic.

Alison has created a rather fine black denim and shimmery green taffeta bag.

She says:

"I finally got it finished, just in time for a weekend at Centerparcs where it was used plenty by both myself and my husband, we both found it really comfortable.

We got lots of compliments on it too.

I used a shot green/black taffeta lining with black denim outer.

The only thing I altered was the rolled hem round the bottom of the bag as my poor old 1960s singer machine couldn’t cope with the amount of material involved so I did the hem on the inside.

Next on my to-do list is the baby onbag."

I think the green shot taffeta works really well with the soft tones of the black denim.

This is a very beautiful but also dad-friendly bag - we like!

Now we're just waiting for action shots!

Guin's Amazing Slip-Cover idea!

Guin had two lovely scraps of print fabric that she wanted to make good use of so she asked us to come up with a way of making slip covers for the flap of her custom bag.

As you can see - the results are pretty impressive.  The plain purple bag with purple taffeta lining is beautiful enough - but the slip-covers are both stunning.

"Becky"

Very rich, almost theatrical. Red cotton drill outer with a dramatic green brocade lining. Becky chose elasticated tops for the side pockets, there is a little surprise inside for her - I'm testing some accessories...

"I've worked out the slip knot and it's sooooo beautiful to wear! It has the beauty of a ringsling without the annoyance!"

"Jin-Hee"

This bag uses some beautiful green brocade, which contrasts quite dramatically with a black cotton drill outside layer. This was the first bag I ever made for anyone other than myself!
